What is SEPA?

The SEPA project is a European project which builds on the introduction of the single currency. European harmonization continues with the creation of a Single Euro Payment: SEPA (Single Euro Area Credit).

The ambition is to create a common set of payment methods that allow anyone with a bank account in this space to make or receive payments in euros as simply and efficiently and within its national borders.
